She Was a Teenage Queen

I found this on the net and thought it was worth sharing...
.
.
A short reflection
.
.
She was a teenage queen and he was a rebel without a cause. They were so opposite yet the obsession they shared for each other was too strong to resist They couldn’t stay away from each other. The
glamour of their forbidden love made it so exciting. The stolen kisses behind the gym. The secret glances exchanged in homeroom. They had to be together no matter what anyone said..
.
.
She picks up her cup of coffee as she shuffles by the kitchen table on her way to the window. the kids are out in the yard playing and sometimes fighting. The rebel without a cause is drunk on his butt as usual and the phone keeps ringing with the calls from the bill collectors. Her back hurts from the 200 pounds she has gained over the years and her hair is thinning and speckled with grey. Oh, they had to be together. Everyone warned them but they wouldn’t listen. She sits at the table and wipes away the tear that has snuck down her cheek. Yes, once she was a teenage Queen.
